Good morning, neighbors! Rachel Kilimnik here with today's copy of theLas Vegas Daily.

Plenty of sunshine, but cool. High: 70 Low: 50.
Here are the top stories in Las Vegas today:
- One Las Vegas native has refused to give up on his dream of helping troubled youth despite the pandemic. Brandarius Johnson, owner of the Wrapped in Hope mental health campaign, said he spent roughly $10,000 on everything necessary to run a screen printing workshop, pallets, heaters, screens, pressure washers, and more, and was trying to establish a program for troubled youth to use their creativity in positive ways. Johnson says many of the young people he'd worked with in the past were very expressive but often turned to graffiti and other illegal ways of showing their artistic talents. (KTNV Las Vegas)
- More people got vaccinated against COVID-19 in one weekend at a clinic where cash incentives were offered than at nearly 20 similar Southern Nevada Health District-run clinics combined. Clark County says 892 people got vaccinated at the two-day pop-up at Eldorado High School on Sept. 18-19. That's when each shot was worth $100, given as a preloaded gift card purchased by the county using federal pandemic aid. Clearly, paying people to get vaccinated works, said Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom. (Las Vegas Sun)
- A Chilean businessman has reached an agreement to buy 10 acres of Strip-front land from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority for $120 million. (U.S. News & World Report)
- In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, video-sharing platform TikTok unveiled its second annual Latinx TikTok Trailblazers list, a group of 15 creators honored for their creativity and passion in the community. One of those honored was Las Vegas teacher Sofia Bella, known on the platform as @iamsofiabella. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
- A Las Vegas criminal defense attorney is facing a lawsuit after being arrested in two separate DUI cases. (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
