A report by Deputy analyzed the search volume for 50+ professions to map out the most popular trade job in every U.S. state. They also evaluated the average salary, hourly wage, and the number of positions open for each position. 35 different trade jobs are represented on the map as the most popular in one or more states. Overall, the most popular trade job is a machinist, winning five states (Maine, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Wisconsin).
