Kenny Sanchez, the head football coach who led Bishop Gorman High School to the number one slot in the country last season, was arrested earlier this week after failing to appear in court on a domestic battery charge. Sanchez was released after posing bail. Sanchez, who has been head coach since January 2015, has led the team to back to back undefeated seasons. Sanchez allegedly had gone to the home of his ex-girlfriend on Christmas Day to pick up their son. She charges that he grabbed her and punched her in the eye. The paper states that he also had punched her in a separate incident. A trial date has been set for next month.
