The Review-Journal, which first reported the arrest, quoted Sanchez's lawyer, Ross Goodman, saying his client had been unaware there was a warrant for his arrest.

Sanchez allegedly had gone to the home of his ex-girlfriend on Christmas Day to pick up their son. She charges that he grabbed her and punched her in the eye. The paper states that he also had punched her in a separate incident.
