Playground Safety

Due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19 in our communities, visitors are asked to follow these simple steps to help keep our outdoor playgrounds safe, open and fun:

Wear a mask - Everyone 2 to 9 years of age is encouraged to wear a face covering. Those more than 10 years of age must wear a face covering. The face covering must cover the nose and mouth.

Maintain Distance - Maintain physical distance of 6 feet between individuals from different households and prevent crowding of children.

No Food or Drink - Do not eat or drink in the playground area to ensure face masks are always worn.

Know When to Stay Home - Elderly individuals or people with underlying medical conditions should avoid playgrounds when others are present.

Plan Ahead - Visit the park at different times or days to avoid crowds and waits.

Wash Hands - Wash or sanitize your hands before and after your visit to the playground.

Share Our Space - To avoid crowding and allow everyone to use this space, please limit your visit to 30 minutes when others are waiting.

Pavilion Rental & Park Special Event Reservations

The city currently is accepting reservations for park pavilions and special events. Picnic shelter reservations and information are available here.

Downtown Las Vegas

A number of Las Vegas casinos as well as Fremont Street Experience have reopened as of June 4, 2020. You can visit their websites for specific details and safety measures.

Convenient Parking Options And Amenities Downtown

A new mobile payment app and a QR code posted on meters and at parking lots will allow visitors the option of not having to touch to pay for parking. The new mobile payment app being used is Flowbird. It allows for payment at any parking meter or to make a reservation for any of the city’s parking garages.

For those who don’t wish to download an app, every meter and parking garage is equipped with a QR code and an NFC tag which allows anyone to pay for parking with GooglePay or ApplePay. Just scan the QR code posted on the parking meter or tap the phone to open the mobile website. Select the amount of time to park and double click to pay.
