Clark County To Host Government Surplus Auctions

From the Clark County Government: Clark County hosts three government surplus auctions a year on select Saturdays at a storage yard located at 4320 Stephanie St. Auctions begin at 8 a.m. Auctions in 2020 will take place on the following Saturdays:

• February 29
• May 16
• November 21

Items sold include vehicles, electronics, computers and other miscellaneous property used or acquired by Clark County and participating government agencies. Two sales are conducted concurrently on auction days – one for vehicles and one for miscellaneous items. A preview and preregistration period opens at the auction site three days prior to every sale. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

TNT Auction manages the auction events and provides online catalogs listing vehicles and miscellaneous items being sold at auction. The catalogs get updated regularly as the date of each sale approaches.

Vehicles are sold on-site and online during the live auction. If you plan to participate in the auction on-site, you must register as a bidder in person, on-site. If you plan to bid online for a vehicle, you must register online for the online portion of the vehicle auction. All miscellaneous items are sold only on-site during the live auction.

Trustee Property/Delinquent Real Property Tax Auctions

Clark County Treasurer’s Office trustee property auctions are periodically held when an inventory of delinquent real property becomes eligible for auction. By state law, real properties that have delinquent taxes (including applicable penalties, interest, and costs/fees) remaining at the end of three consecutive fiscal years is deeded into the name of the Clark County Treasurer as trustee. These properties become eligible for sale at public auction unless the total amount owed is paid in full.

Scheduled dates and times of auctions and a list of properties to be sold are posted on the Treasurer’s Office website several weeks in advance. The auctions are usually held in the Clark County Commission Chambers located at 500 S. Grand Central Parkway in downtown Las Vegas.
