Cosmopolitan Begins Paid Parking

The Cosmopolitan joins two Wynn Resorts, eight Caesars properties, and 12 resorts owned by MGM in ending free parking.

Free parking on The Strip is quickly becoming a thing of the past. On Tuesday, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas started charging customers to park. The resort is the 23rd on the Strip to end free parking, joining two Wynn Resorts, eight Caesars properties, and 12 resorts owned by MGM.

The Wynn only charges for valet. The properties owned by Caesars allow local residents to park for free by scanning the bar code on their driver's license.

While the resort is allowing the first hour of self parking to be free, after that, it's between seven and $10 a day.

The Cosmopolitan has announced last year that they would make the change but had not set a date.
