Here are the top stories in Las Vegas today:
- A man was stabbed to death near downtown Las Vegas early yesterday morning. Officers were called to the 1200 block of Las Vegas Boulevard, near Charleston Boulevard, at around 4:45 a.m. There, they found a man who had been stabbed in the neck and died at the scene after some sort of altercation. Police described the attacker, who had since left the area, as a man who was about 6 feet tall and last seen wearing dirty clothes. (KTNV Las Vegas)
- Hard Rock International has announced plans for a guitar-shaped hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. The announcement on Monday came following news that MGM Resorts was selling operations of The Mirage to Hard Rock International for $1.075 billion in cash. The Seminole Hard Rock in Florida is currently home to a similar guitar-shaped hotel. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
- The McCarran International Airport has been officially renamed to the Harry Reid International Airport. (Las Vegas Sun)
- University Medical Center canceled the "Lights of Love" event on Tuesday due to bad weather and will announce a new date for the event next week. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
- A Las Vegas resident, Ava Boegner, turned 104-years-old on Tuesday after surviving COVID. (KTNV Las Vegas)
