Here are the top stories today in Las Vegas:
- DraftKings is planning to open a new office in Las Vegas in early 2022. The new office will open at UnCommons in southwest Las Vegas and the company expects to eventually employ more than 1,000 workers at the location. The Las Vegas office will be the company's second-largest in the U.S. and will closely model its Boston headquarters, with the inclusion of its own in-office casino pit, a high-tech putting green and more. - Immigrant rights groups are gathering in Las Vegas this week for the 14th annual National Immigrant Integration Conference. Topics of discussion at the conference include immigration reform, naturalization and making immigration a priority. The conference runs through Wednesday at Westgate Las Vegas. (KNPR)
- The University of Nevada, Las Vegas is hosting their first ever four-day hybrid career fair from Oct. 5-8 which features one day of virtual events and three days of in-person events. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
- Multi-platinum alternative rock band 311 has announced they are bringing 311 Day back to Las Vegas on Mar. 11-12, 2022. (News3LV)
- The premier hip-hop event Day N Vegas Festival has announced they will be releasing a limited amount of tickets for purchase this Friday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. (News3LV)
