The Golden Knights traveled to Los Angeles for a rookie scrimmage against the Kings and ended up on the wrong end of a 6-2 score.

The Golden Knights traveled to Los Angeles where they played their first game as a franchise - a rookie scrimmage with the Kings. They ended up on the wrong end of a 6-2 score.
But the team saw lots of signs of hope and are not discouraged.

There was also Tomas Hyka who scored the first goal in the team's history. He scored at 1:15 into the first, giving them the lead, which they held all the way into the second period.
Thompson stopped 14 shots and then was pulled for Jim Patera, who let in the first shot he faced.
