🌱 Gov. Sisolak Home After Crash + 'Hallow Reef' Coming To Strip

Here are the top stories in Las Vegas today:

  1. Gov. Steve Sisolak announced Sunday night that he was one of the drivers in the crash earlier that day at Rainbow Boulevard and Russell Road that shut down traffic in all directions for several hours. Sisolak said he and the other driver appeared to have minor, external injuries that were treated at University Medical Center. The announcement also said the governor was released from the hospital at 3:10 p.m. and is resting at home. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
  2. The Shark Reef Aquarium on the Las Vegas Strip is getting in the Halloween spirit by transforming into "Hallow Reef." According to a news release, as part of the festivities, "the exhibit will transform into an interactive Halloween experience adding tricks and treats at every corner, welcoming all ghouls and goblins to show off their Halloween spirit with the most unique land and sea creatures." Hallow Reef will run from Oct. 29-31 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.(FOX5 Las Vegas)
  3. Las Vegas police shut down part of a freeway near the airport after a suspected road rage shooting Monday morning. It appears a 25-year-old man was struck by gunfire while driving, causing him to crash into a center divider. He did not survive. (U.S. News & World Report)
  4. Las Vegas firefighters rescued a person from a burning vehicle that had crashed through a fence on Sunday night in the northwest part of town. (KTNV Las Vegas)
  5. A Las Vegas woman who doesn't feel safe attending Las Vegas Athletic Club due to maskless patrons is attempting to get out of her contract with the facility. (KTNV Las Vegas)
