Heller Wants Raiders Stadium Bonds To Be Exempt, Says Report
He made the comments on the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Nevada Politics Today show.

Senator Dean Heller wants to make sure that public money should not be used to pay for stadiums. Except, apparently, when talking about the stadium being built in Las Vegas for the Oakland Raiders who plan to move there in 2020.
“I don’t think taxpayers should be paying for stadiums. Let’s get that clear,” Heller said on Nevada Politics Today. “Needless to say, I’m looking for an exemption for the Raiders’ stadium since that was already in the discussion.
“I certainly want to make sure that what’s in the books now, like the stadium we have in Las Vegas, is exempted out.”
The team's $1.9 billion 65,000-seat stadium, is being funded in large part b public funds. It will be the most expensive stadium ever built for a NFL team other than the one under construction in Los Angeles.
