How Do Nevada’s Astrological Signs Compare?
You know what your zodiac sign is and maybe read a horoscope every now and then, but do you know how rare your sign is?

People either love or hate astrology. Either way, the concept of your birthday predicting major milestones in your life fascinates people across the globe. Sure, you know what your zodiac sign is and maybe read your weekly horoscope if it pops up in your social media feed, but do you know how rare your sign is?
A recent study by Framebridge collected Census data to determine the most and least popular zodiac sign in each state, so you can finally put all the burning questions to rest. Here’s what they discovered about the Sagebrush state…
Cancers Are Popular in Nevada

The most popular sign in the US is also the most popular sign in our home state of Nevada, Cancer. Cancers are known for being intuitive, loyal, nostalgic, and charming, to name a few of their stereotypical character traits. Those certainly aren’t the worst possible traits, so Cancers represent Nevada (along with the other 24 states it’s most popular in) well.
This is good news for Pisces, Scorpios, and Capricorns who are most compatible with Cancers. They have a much bigger population to pull from when searching for romantic partners or friends, unlike those that are compatible with the rarer signs.

Pisces Are Rare in Our State
Capricorn is the overwhelmingly most rare zodiac sign in 39 of the 50 states - but not Nevada. Nevada’s most underrepresented zodiac sign is the water sign Pisces. If you think romance is dead, maybe it’s because one of the most romantic sign is also becoming one of the rarest.
Pisces are also known for being empathetic, impressionable, and imaginative - so if those are traits you look for in a partner, you’ll have to commit to a deeper hunt. Scorpios and Cancers get along best with this sign. That means that there are definitely not enough Pisces to satisfy all of the Cancers in our state.
Why Does it Matter?
If you don’t believe in astrology, you probably could care less about how many Cancers or Pisces there are in our state. However, your star sign can reveal deep insights on yourself and your character. It may not always perfectly predict the future, but if nothing else it presents the opportunity to reflect on yourself.
This is also a great conversation starter. If you ever run into one of the rarer signs ask them if they know how rare their sign is and you’re sure to grab their attention. You don’t have to be a full-blown astrologist in order to use zodiac signs to your advantage!
