Las Vegas Defense Lawyer Turned Defendant Needs A New Lawyer
Alexis Plunkett went from defense lawyer to defendant when she was charged with several counts of providing a cell phone to a defendant.

The defense lawyer who became a defendant when she was charged with several counts of providing a cell phone to an inmate now needs a new lawyer. Alexis Plunkett told the judge overseeing her case that her lawyer has dropped her as a client and would like 30 days to find a new lawyer.
Plunkett is charged with providing a cell phone to Andrew Arevalo when he was being held at the Clark County Detention Center. Arevalo is one of two inmates who had been shot - while his hands were cuffed behind his back - by a correction officer at the High Desert State Prison. The other inmate was killed.
According to the Review-Journal, which first reported the story, Plunkett told the judge that her lawyer's abandonment, caught her by surprise. (Subscribe to local news alerts on Patch)
