Las Vegas Law Firm Sees Substantial Increase in Death and Personal Injury Cases This Year

Las Vegas, Nevada - In 2024, Nevada experienced a record number of pedestrian fatalities, with 112 deaths reported. Las Vegas, specifically, saw a significant increase in pedestrian deaths, nearly doubling from the previous year. These increases are attributed to factors like excessive speed and impaired driving, as well as the city's road infrastructure.
Attorney Sam Ryan Heidari, owner and founder of the personal injury firm Heidari Law Group commented, "Las Vegas is known for its nightlife and entertainment, which contributes to a high incidence of drunk driving accidents. The new statistics indicate a concerning trend, with Las Vegas ranking high for DUI arrests, personal injury and fatalities." Heidari continued, "Las Vegas has to do better. Sadly, Nevada is one of the top-ten most dangerous places to drive in America. Nevada is ranked in tenth place for worst drivers in the country in 2019, according to a study from CarInsuranceComparison.com using data from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This is the sixth time since 2011 that Nevada has placed in the top 10.
