Las Vegas Raiders Gets NFL Approval

The league's owners give their blessings despite the fact some details still need to be worked out.

The Las Vegas Raiders just became a whole lot closer to being real. The NFL's owners unanimously approved the team's lease with the Las Vegas Stadium Authority at their meeting in Chicago on Tuesday.

The authority approved the lease on the $1.9 billion stadium on Thursday.

There are still some issues to be worked out as the stadium moves forward including environmental reviews and details of UNLV's sharing of the stadium. Also, the league has been hesitant to allow the use of mobile gambling apps within the stadium.
