The company, which calls itself the "#1 sports builder in the U.S." on their website.Mortenson, which has built more than 170 sports and entertainment projects including the recently-opened SunTrust Park home of the Atlanta Braves, will work with McCarthy Building Companies of Henderson.The Las Vegas Review-Journal, which first <a href="https://www.reviewjournal.com/business/stadium/raiders-set-to-name-general-contractor-for-las-vegas-stadium/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">reported the story</a>, quote Raiders President Marc Badain saying the contract is close but not yet done.The Raiders have also hired Kansas City-based Manica Architecture to design the $1.9 billion, 65,000-seat stadium.Earlier this week, The las vegas Stadium Authority released a draft timeline that shows the team moving into their new home in June 2020 - three months ahead of opening day.(Subscribe to <a href="https://patch.com/nevada/lasvegas/subscribe" target="_blank" rel="noopener">local news alerts</a> on PatchIn picking Mortenson - which completed several big projects ahead of schedule - they have made the right choice.
