Las Vegas Stripper Who Ran Multi-State Drug Ring Gets 17 Years
Loren Toelle and her husband both appeared in federal court to plead guilty.

Loren Toelle, a 52-year-old former Vegas stripper who was indicted last year on charges she ran a multi-state drug ring, will spend the next 17 years in prison. She pleaded guilty to running a ring for almost eight years and involved four of her five adult children.

Her lawyer had asked for 10 years but the judge rejected that request. She will be nearly 70 when she gets out if she serves her whole sentence.

Toelle's husband, Dr. Stanley Toelle, also appeared in court, pleading guilty to filing false documents with the Internal Revenue Service. As part of his deal he will forfeit about $150,000 in assets and pay about $47,500 in back taxes.
In return, he will be allowed to maintain ownership of two properties in Las Vegas.

Loren Toelle has maintained that her husband had no knowledge of her drug activities.
Earlier in the day, her brother was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison for his role in the operation.
The operation, which ran from Washington State - she was indicted and sentenced in Spokane - to North Dakota and generated millions of dollars, according to prosecutors.
