Cheyenne Kyle, programs coordinator for the Obodo Collective, said people of color have been practicing conservation efforts for years, even as they may not be familiar with the fancier or more technical terms often applied to their actions. The Obodo Collective primarily works in the Historic Westside of Las Vegas to educate residents on issues like food security. Locally, the collective is attempting to create a community garden to show residents how to grow fresh produce. (Las Vegas Sun)
  2. On Tuesday, Clark County honored a local philanthropist who helped solve a cold case from 1989. Stephanie Isaacson, 14, was killed in 1989 while walking to school. This lab test ultimately helped identify Isaacson's killer. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
