Local Students Donate More Than 3,000 Food Items to Nonprofits

Students from Merryhill Preschools in Las Vegas hosted food drives for Three Square and HELP of Southern Nevada

Students at Merryhill Preschool on Durango Drive and Merryhill Preschool Summerlin recently collected more than 3,000 nonperishable food items to benefit local nonprofit organizations, Three Square and HELP of Southern Nevada. The donations were a result of food drives hosted at each school to support local families. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others in need during the holiday season.

Three Square’s mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursing a hunger-free community. They combine food banking, food rescue and ready-to-eat meals to be the most complete food solution for Southern Nevada. HELP of Southern Nevada assists families and individuals throughout Southern Nevada to overcome barriers and attain self-sufficiency through direct services, training and referral to community resources.
