Man Who Tried To Kill Las Vegas Officer Gets 11 To 40 Years

Teag Fox wil serve 11-40 years for shooting Officer Gregory Sedminik in December 2015.

The man who tried to kill a Las Vegas police officer in December 2015 will serve 11 to 40 years in prison for his crime. Forty-year-old Teag Fox was sentenced on Wednesday.

Prosecutors had sought the maximum of 24 to 61 years.

Fox was convicted in July of having shot Officer Gregory Sedminik near Las Vegas Boulevard South and West Serene Avenue. He fired three times, striking Sedminik twice - in the arm and torso.

Sedminik, who has recovered, is still on the force.
