Compressing most County operations from five days per week to four days a week would align with those of the cities of Las Vegas, Henderson & North Las Vegas. Some County functions, however, will continue to operate five days a week and even through the weekends as they do now, such as the Department of Family Services, Juvenile Justice Services, Animal Control, code enforcement, the Recorder's Office and building inspections. The County has reported facing a $284 million structural imbalance for Fiscal Year 2021 and has continued negotiating cost reductions with the remaining union groups.
