Merryhill Preschool Students Host Food Drive for Local Children

Students collected nonperishable food items and produce to provide local children with meals over the holiday break

Students at Merryhill Preschool on Alta Drive in Las Vegas recently hosted a food drive and donated nonperishable food items and produce to feed local children during the holiday break. Students collected the items under a giving tree, and at the close of the drive, helped pack backpacks of food to send home with children at a nearby elementary school. This is the third year that the school hosted the drive, which helps provide meals during the holiday break to children that typically rely on free meals at school. Through their efforts, students learned the importance of helping others, especially during the holiday season.
