Nation's Top Prep Hoopers Coming to Las Vegas This Weekend

AJ Dybantsa, the presumptive No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, headlines the field at three-day Grind Session showcase.

Some of the country’s best high school basketball players are playing in Las Vegas this weekend.

The Grind Session, a winter circuit of high school basketball events featuring top boys and girls hoops prospects from across the U.S and Canada, will host a three-day showcase at Silverado High School from November 29 - December 1.

The event will feature 29 teams from 12 states and Canada, 29 games, several ESPN top-rated prospects, and the No. 6-ranked high school boys basketball team in the country.

“The Grind Session has taken high school basketball to new heights, becoming the home and proving ground for the nation's best prospects and teams. It's more than just great games. It’s an opportunity for these kids to prepare for the next chapter of their basketball careers,” said Grind Session co-founder and CEO Scott Waldrop. “We’re excited about bringing the action to Las Vegas and look forward to an exciting weekend of elite prep basketball.”

AJ Dybantsa, the top-rated prospect in the Class of 2025 and presumptive No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, headlines a field filled with future college and professional talent. The 6-foot-9 forward plays for Utah Prep, the No.-6-ranked team in ESPN's current high school boys basketball rankings. Utah Prep is one of 23 boys teams participating in next weekend’s Grind Session event.

The showcase will also feature six girls teams, highlighted by elite scorer and LSU commit Bella Hines. The highly recruited Class of 2025 combo guard stars for Albuquerque Prep out of New Mexico. Earlier this month, Hines became the only active high school player (boy or girl) to sign an NIL deal with the iconic Jordan Brand.

Four Nevada boys programs are competing in the showcase: SFBA Trinity Prep, Mater Academy East, Paragon Academy, and Liberty High School.

To put into perspective how good the Grind Session is: the circuit has produced nearly 3,000 players who have gone on to play collegiate or professional basketball, including more than 20 first-round NBA draft picks. That list includes Jamal Murray (Denver Nuggets), LaMelo Ball (Charlotte Hornets), DeAndre Ayton (Portland Trail Blazers), Paolo Banchero (Orlando Magic), Jalen Green (Houston Rockets), and reigning NBA champion Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), to name a few.

Admission is $15 a day, and kids age 6 and under are free.
