Nevada Primary Election Results 2018: Rosen, Laxalt Secure Wins
Rosen will face Dean Heller in the fall. Meanwhile, state Attorney General Adam Laxalt won the GOP primary race for governor.

LAS VEGAS, NV — Incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Dean Heller has been declared the winner of the GOP primary in Nevada and will face a stiff challenge in the fall from Democratic U.S. Rep. Jacky Rosen, who also secured her party's nomination Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Republican state Attorney General Adam Laxalt won the GOP primary race for governor and waits to find out who he'll face in the general election.
Polls closed at 7 p.m. Tuesday. In addition to governor and U.S. Senate, Nevadans cast their ballots for U.S. House and a host of other elected positions. Several primaries were in a dead heat leading up to primary day, as Democrats across the country hope to retake the Congress during an election cycle where many Republicans worry over the popularity — or unpopularity — of President Donald Trump. Among the highlights of primary contests Tuesday were the whopping eight Republicans and six Democrats running for governor to replace term-limited Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval.
