  1. A new career hub opened on Thursday that aims to help locals find work in Las Vegas valley. Employ NV Career Hub opened its doors at the Historic Westside School as part of a partnership between Workforce Connections and the city. The hub can help job-seekers connect with employers, find opportunities, receive assistance with resumes and interviews, and even find childcare while they're at work. (News3LV)
  2. A bicyclist was transported to the hospital after a crash Thursday morning in North Las Vegas. The crash occurred near Donna and Washburn at about 7 a.m. Police said medical crews arrived on the scene and transported a female bicyclist, believed to be in her 50s, to UMC Trauma where she has been listed in critical condition.   3. Edward Contreras, a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer died this week from COVID-19 complications. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
  4. State regulators reported Nevada casinos continued to peak in August, recording $1 billion-plus in house winnings for the sixth straight month as gambling statewide returns to pre-pandemic levels. (Las Vegas Sun)
  5. Three new people have come forward to accuse a Las Vegas dance instructor, Mitchell Taylor Button, and his wife of sex abuse allegations. (News3LV)
