Here are the top stories today in Las Vegas:
- Police in North Las Vegas are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the parking lot of a swap meet. They said officers responded to the scene around 4:15 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, police reported finding a man in his 50s suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. (Las Vegas Sun)
- Plant-based eatery options are sprouting across Southern Nevada, as demand grows. Officials from the Vegas Chamber and Nevada Restaurant Association said they don't track the number of vegan restaurants, but Alecia Ghilardcucci said she found eight fully vegan restaurants when she moved to Las Vegas four years ago. Now, she knows of 35, some of which are the same brand with multiple locations. (The Nevada Independent)
- A man suffered a skull fracture after he was beaten with a dog bone inside a Las Vegas pet store during a quarrel over masks, police said. (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
- One thousand Las Vegas area families were gifted a free thanksgiving meal Saturday due to the help of Southern Nevada and the Junior League of Las Vegas who teamed up to give out the meals. (News3LV)
