PODS®, KLUC and BACKPACKS 4 Class Acts coming just in time!

To kick off the upcoming school year, local Las Vegas radio station, 98.5 KLUC and PODS Las Vegas are encouraging local Las Vegas residents to donate backpacks for our annual Backpacks 4 Class Acts, a donation drive that will benefit the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY).

On Aug. 4, PODS Las Vegas will provide a PODS container for onsite storage for collecting the backpacks during the duration of the drive. For over 18 years, NPHY has provided Southern Nevada’s unaccompanied homeless youth with life-saving programs that gives them a safe and supportive environment, 24 hours a day and gives them the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

“This particular donation drive holds a special place with us because it does so much to help the youth in our community,” said Mike Smith, Vice President of Operations for PODS Las Vegas. “We hope that with all of the outreach efforts being made that the community will come out to donate and help make an impact of these kids’ lives.”

The public is encouraged to come out and donate backpacks in the safe and secure PODS container during the program finale held at Galleria at Sunset on August 4th.
