LAS VEGAS – Acknowledging the significant contributions in providing financial literacy education to local K-12 students, The Primerica Foundation has chosen to grant $10,000 to Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada. The grant was presented to the nonprofit organization during the recent Women in Primerica Leadership conference at the Mirage Hotel & Casino.

Junior Achievement (JA) serves a crucial role for youth to learn about finances, workforce development and entrepreneurship by delivering age-appropriate curriculum to the Clark County School District and other educational institutions that don’t have the resources to provide these valuable lessons. JA’s programming focuses on educating younger students about their roles as individuals, employees, and consumers in daily life and commerce, while emphasizing the value of saving and distinguishing between needs and wants. Middle and high school students gain insights into essential economic principles, workforce dynamics, personal budgeting, and credit management.

“We deeply appreciate The Primerica Foundation’s acknowledgment and continued support of the impactful and needed work we undertake within our community,” said Michelle Jackson, president and CEO of Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada. “This grant, like its prior grant in 2018, will play a pivotal role for us in providing necessary resources to prepare local students for their future success.”
