Purple Hearts Honors Attorney Peter Palivos For National Service

Peter Palivos' hard work helping veterans was acknowledged on November 10th, 2021, as Purple Hearts honored his National Service.

Peter Palivos’ hard work helping veterans in local communities was acknowledged on November 10th, 2021, as Purple Hearts honored his National Service, during a lunch attended by 200 veteran heroes. The Veteran lunch award ceremony was held at the Bella Vita restaurant, Henderson and was co-hosted by fifteen Veteran organizations.

Len Yelinek, Nevada State Commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, along with Dan Peterson, Commander of the Henderson Chapter of the Purple Heart, made a presentation to Veterans Attorney and Chairman of Voice of the Veteran, Peter Palivos for his many years of pro bono legal services, which have helped hundreds of veterans and their families.

In accepting the award, Attorney Palivos stated, “Our country is currently facing difficult social, economic and political challenges. Therefore, this event, which is centered on our Veterans- is very important- because our Veterans always bring America together.”

Peter Palivos uses his position as an attorney to provide better care and legal services for the veterans. He provides pro bono services for veterans and veteran services alike. Over the years, he has provided aid to hundreds of veterans. Palivos has also been behind several veteran-oriented initiatives, including the Nevada Veteran Housing Village project. This project has the goal of housing over one hundred veterans and their families. During the pandemic, Palivos also served over 10,000 lunches to first responders and gave over 1,000 toys to poor children in East Las Vegas.

The November 10, 2021 award was not the first time Peter Palivos has been recognized for his work aiding veterans. The Voice of the Veterans has previously honored Peter Palivos, back in 2019, with an award of Appreciation for Service. Palivos has worked with The Voice of Veterans for several years, providing them with pro bono legal assistance and financial assistance.

Peter Palivos comes from a long line of veterans within the family. His family has served in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. The family continues to serve through Peter’s actions, as he helps those who have served our country.

All of Peter Palivos’ goals and initiatives are firmly in line with those of the Purple Hearts. Their mission is to honor and help wounded veterans and their families. In the words of Peter Palivos “we owe every American who served our great nation, much more than just a mere thank you”.
