Here are the top three stories today in Las Vegas:
- Ahead of the annual New Year's Eve fireworks show in Las Vegas, Clark County has issued a smoke advisory. The advisory will is set for both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The advisory also serves as an air quality alert to those who are elderly or have compromised immune systems that an elevated level of particles could be present in the air. (News3LV)
- Two people were shot on Thursday evening near the Fremont Street. Both victims suffered gunshot wounds to their legs and the suspect has not been located as of Friday afternoon. Officials believe this is an isolated incident between the suspect and a group of people. The investigation is ongoing. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
- A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near Pecos and Desert Inn Roads Thursday evening. The driver remained on scene as officials arrived at the intersection where the victim was "breathing but unconscious." The condition of the pedestrian was unknown as of Friday afternoon. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
