Students at Merryhill Preschool in Henderson Plant Trees

In celebration of Earth Day, students planted trees around the school and built organic bird feeders to care for the environment

Students at Merryhill Preschool in Henderson recently planted trees around the school and built organic bird feeders in celebration of Earth Day. The students planted two drought-resistant trees, which require less water and maintenance and can adapt to the area’s dry weather conditions. In addition, students created bird feeders using organic ingredients, including pine cones, sun butter and bird seeds. Students will care for the trees as they grow, and will hang the bird feeders in areas near the school and their homes. Merryhill Preschool teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at a young age.
