Students from Merryhill Schools Donate More Than 100 Toys
Students participated in annual toy drives run by KLUC and the Shane Victorino Foundation
Students from Merryhill Preschool on Grand Teton, Merryhill Preschool Summerlin and Merryhill Elementary School Summerlin in Las Vegas participated in toy drives to benefit local children during the holidays. Merryhill Preschools participated in 98.5 KLUC’s 17th annual toy drive, which provided donations to HELP of Southern Nevada. In addition, students at Merryhill Elementary School Summerlin collected toys for the Shane Victorino Foundation’s toy drive, which supports underprivileged children in Las Vegas. Following the drives, students helped pack vehicles with donations and delivered the toys. Through their efforts, students learned the importance of helping others, especially during the holiday season.
HELP of Southern Nevada assists families and individuals throughout Southern Nevada to overcome barriers and attain self-sufficiency through direct services, training and referral to community resources. The Shane Victorino Foundation is dedicated to promoting opportunities for underserved youth. It engages in projects which provide children in need with educational, recreational and wellness programs.
