🌱Teen Who Brought Gun To School Arrested + Vacant Building Blaze

Here are the top stories in Las Vegas today:

  1. The Clark County School District Police Department says a high school student is facing charges with bringing a gun to campus. A 17-year-old Sunrise Mountain High School student was arrested Wednesday and taken into custody after he was found with a handgun, according to police. School district police say the student was taken into custody without incident and booked on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, minor in possession of a firearm and possession of a dangerous weapon on school property. (KTNV Las Vegas)
  2. Crews with Las Vegas Fire and Rescue and the Clark County Fire Department responded to a vacant building blaze in downtown Las Vegas early Thursday morning. According to CCFD Deputy Fire Chief Thomas Touchstone, multiple blazes have occurred at this address. "It was a pretty dangerous situation based on the fact that it's a vacant structure that has had squatters in it (previously), with lots of hoarding conditions and previous fires," Touchstone said.   3. A Las Vegas valley Facebook group has brought back its famous guide for finding the best holiday decorations around town. (News3LV)
  4. The Little Vegas Chapel is celebrating numerically significant palindrome dates in December with holiday-themed packages. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
  5. Music superstar Carrie Underwood kicked off the start of her new residency at Resorts World Las Vegas with a sold-out show Wednesday while also adding six new dates to her stay. (News3LV)
