Utah Man And Las Vegas Worker Died In Boyfriend's Arms During Rampage

"He tried to stop the bleeding. There was so much chaos," said friend and colleague Brad Jerbic.

LAS VEGAS, NV — A Utah man who worked as a records specialist for the city of Las Vegas was shot in the neck and bled to death in his boyfriend's arms Sunday night when a gunman opened fire upon the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

Cameron Robinson, 28, was looking forward to the festival with his boyfriend, Bobby Eardley, for days, said friend and colleague Brad Jerbic. He had an infectious personality that made him the heart of the office, Jerbic, the city attorney, said Tuesday.

Robinson moved to southern Utah about a year ago to be with Eardley, and commuting two hours each way every day. The Victims Of The Las Vegas Shooting

"He was just so happy — you could see it in his face," Jerbic said. "If he was alive, he would say this is the best time of his life."

The couple was together when Robinson was shot, Jerbic said. Eardley was struck by shrapnel and is expected to survive his minor injuries.

"(Eardley) actually held him. He was with him when he died. He tried to stop the bleeding. There was so much chaos," Jerbic said.

A GoFundMe account has been created to help Robinson's friends and family raise money for funeral and medical costs.

"Today we lost an amazing friend, son, brother, uncle, cousin, coworker and boyfriend to the senseless, horrible tragedy of the Las Vegas shooting," Valerie Alvey posted on the site. "He was full of life and love and so much passion. He loved his family, friends and everyone he came in contact with."

Robinson had a passion for cooking, entertaining, running marathons, traveling, camping, boating and other outdoor activities, the post said.

"He is an amazing example to all and brought so much light to those he came in contact with. He accomplished so much in such a short time and touched the lives of so many," the post said.
