Vegas Marijuana: Clark County Says No Possession, Pot Ads At Airport
The ban, approved Tuesday, includes all property owned by the airport.

You cannot posses marijuana at McCarran International Airport. There also won't be any advertising for legal marijuana. That was the unanimous decision Tuesday by the Clark County Commission.
The commissioners said the decision was necessary to keep the airport in line with federal regulations. Marijuana - while legalized for recreational and medical use in the state - is still considered illegal by the federal government.
The ban will not only be in effect at the airport. It extends to all property owned by the airport including property they rent out to others. The rule does not affect taxis or personal vehicles that drive on to airport property to park or drop passengers off.
People who are found to violate the rules face the possibility of a misdemeanor charge or a civil fine. The amounts of the fines have not yet been set.
