Tens of thousands watched Brennan Stewart sing on Facebook, including over 138,000 of him singing "You Should Be Here" by Cole Swindell.

LAS VEGAS, NV — A Las Vegas musician who played guitar and wrote his own songs used his body to protect his girlfriend from a gunman who rained bullets down on the Route 91 Harvest Festival from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, according to family members.
Now, tens of thousands are watching Brennan Stewart sing on Facebook, including more than 138,000 people viewing him singing "You Should Be Here" by Cole Swindell. That video, posted Oct. 4, 2016, has more than 1,200 shares and nearly 100 comments from people expressing condolences.
Country music was nearly everything to Stewart. He rarely missed an opportunity to hear it performed live, according to a statement from his family. Stewart always put others first, they said. He was a fan of the Atlanta Braves and San Francisco 49ers and let his family know what they meant to him. Federal investigators, seeking answers to what made Stephen Paddock go on the shooting rampage, were interviewing his girlfriend Wednesday, hoping she could provide clues to his motives. The attack left 59 people dead and more than 500 hurt.
