Hello, people of Las Vegas! Rachel Kilimnik here with a brand-new copy of the Las Vegas Daily.

First, today's weather:

Warm with plenty of sunshine. High: 76 Low: 50.

Here are the top stories in Las Vegas today:

  1. A Las Vegas woman has been charged with posing as a dentist and performing surgical procedures on patients in unsanitary conditions while earning tens of thousands in cash and land payments. Maria Loyomorales, 59, was charged on Sept. 13 with eight felonies including unlawful practice of dentistry and performing surgery on another without a license not resulting in substantial bodily harm. She was booked at the Clark County Detention Center on Nov. 17. An investigation by state police and the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners, meanwhile, shows Loyomorales has been the subject of complaints in the Las Vegas Valley for more than two decades. (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
  2. Clark County firefighters battled a two-alarm fire at a shopping center east of the Las Vegas Strip overnight on Monday and into the early morning hours. Officials say the cause of the fire remains under investigation but no injuries were reported with the building unoccupied at the time of the blaze. In total, 13 engines and 74 fire personnel responded to the fire located at 4080 Paradise Road, near Flamingo Road. (KTNV Las Vegas)
  3. A "hidden" cinema is showing holiday films at its rooftop movie theater venue in downtown Las Vegas. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
  4. On Monday afternoon, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department updated a homicide case from 1979, providing details about the cold case which dates back more than 40 years. (KTNV Las Vegas)
  5. An adult man was found with a gunshot wound and was taken to UMC Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries early Sunday morning after a weekend shooting at a Las Vegas casino. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
