Here are the top stories today in Las Vegas:

1. Tech agencies have teamed up at StarBase here in Las Vegas to take live entertainment to a virtual dimension. StarBase is the world's first hybrid event center in Vegas that uses high technology to take people to another dimension and present entertainment to a real-life audience or the comfort of your own living room. There is no need to buy tickets, the only thing you must do is put on a virtual reality headset and you are in. This is the first virtual venue like this to exist in the world and it was created right here in Las Vegas. (KTNV Las Vegas)
2. Between Monday and Thursday, 1,048 sex offenders and suspects wanted in sex crimes were contacted in the Las Vegas Valley. The operation resulted in 33 arrests. Those arrested were charged with a variety of crimes including failure to obey sex offender registration laws, fugitive from another state, arrest warrants, and "other sex crime-related offenses," police said. 3. Hundreds of hotel, casino, and restaurant workers rallied on the Las Vegas Strip as the Culinary union made a second monthly call to return more people to jobs idled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. (KDWN)
4. There is an ongoing labor shortage for many businesses and the Las Vegas Strip seeing it firsthand but some businesses are noticing some savings on overhead. (KTNV Las Vegas)
5. New owners aim to have a massive Fontainebleau building completed by Super Bowl 2024. (News3LV)
