- Zion's Youth Symphony & Chorus (ZYSC) is delighted to be back at The Smith Center to present two back-to-back performances of Grateful, paying special tribute to several local heroes who have gone the extra mile to keep our community both physically healthy and spiritually vibrant during the dark days of the pandemic. - A private and public partnership has expanded a Las Vegas program providing mobile shower trailers for homeless people through the Clean the World nonprofit. Trailers offer four shower stalls and users are provided hygiene kits including soap and a toothbrush. Clark County, Caesars Entertainment and the Caesars Foundation on Monday announced a three-year commitment to split what Clean the World chief Shawn Seipler says is about a $250,000-a-year cost. - Immigrants and their families want to stay in the USA and many showed up outside the federal courthouse downtown making the case. Deportation, or not seeing family again, are the daily worries for some Las Vegans who only have temporary status here in the U.S. Now they're begging our lawmakers and the federal government to provide them a way to become citizens.(News3LV)
- A Las Vegas woman pleaded guilty today to using at least 40 stolen identities to fraudulently collect approximately $175,622 in unemployment insurance benefits from the California Employment Development Department. (KTNV Las Vegas)
