3. North Las Vegas man arrested for sending hate speech, threats to Attorney General Aaron Ford (ktnv.com) — A North Las Vegas man has been arrested after allegedly sending racist threats via Instagram to Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford, who reported feeling fearful for his family's safety. Police say the messages mixed slurs with warnings about Ford's home, prompting increased patrols. The suspect faces a hate crime charge and an additional count of resisting a public officer.

CCSD high school football programs see improvements since going independent (ktnv.com) — High school football programs at CCSD, including Legacy in North Las Vegas, say going independent from the NIAA has revived interest, rivalries, and participation. Clark County and cities including North Las Vegas already have their own rules, but helmet use remains low and speeds high.
