Here are the top stories today in Reno:
- The Sparks Police Department is looking for a woman who is accused of stealing a car with a 7-year-old inside. On Sunday morning, police responded to the 900 block of 12th Street on the report of a stolen vehicle. When police arrived, they found the stolen car with the child inside a short distance away, but the woman fled. (Newsbreak)
- The Reno Police Department says it made three arrests during the downtown New Year's Even celebration. One person was arrested for driving under the influence, and two people were arrested for misdemeanors. Reno police reported 12 misdemeanor arrests, two felony arrests, two DUI arrests, and five citations two years ago. (KOLO)
- One person was shot to death at a Reno trailer park. On Saturday evening, police responded to Gentry way and found a man who was shot, but despite life-saving measures, he didn't survive. The Robbery and Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting. (KOLO)
