- On Saturday, the Reno Fire Department and Reno Police Department commemorated the 20th anniversary of 9/11 at City Plaza. Attendees shared memories and raised a flag in honor of those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks. Said Mayor Hillary Schieve, "Now more than ever we've got to remember our history, and by remembering it, we'll be able to shape our future." (Reno Gazette Journal)
- The International Association Of Firefighters (IAFF) has kicked off its annual Fill the Boot program. The longstanding tradition raises funds for research and care for over 300,000 families nationwide living with neuromuscular diseases. Dedicated fire fighters from Reno Professional Fire Fighters will hit the streets with boots in hands to ask pedestrians, motorists and other passerby to donate. (KTVN)
- The Reno Fire Department is cleaning up after responding to a structure fire west of downtown near Keystone Ave. (KOLO)
- Washoe County Sheriff's Office deputies have arrested a fugitive from California, who was wanted for nearly a half-dozen sex crime charges. (KTVN)
- Ferino Distillery in downtown Reno hosted a silent art auction to raise funds for victims of the Caldor Fire. (KOLO)
