Here are the top three stories in Reno today:
- The Reno Police Department has been sued by Christopher Sheahan for a traffic stop incident. The man was apparently shot in the shoulder by an officer. He was surrounded by six officers in a Reno motel parking lot on South Virginia Street during the incident. The lawsuit is claiming damages in excess of $15,000. (Reno Gazette Journal)

- Northern Nevada Pride is today in downtown Reno. The event seems to get bigger every year, according to pride organizers. The event will be from 1st Street to Ralston Street. The parade will begin at 5th and Virginia with free admission. The festival is a $5 donation with proceeds towards Our Center. (2 News)
- The National Automobile Museum will be hosting a free screening of "Back to the Future" on Saturday, Aug. 20. The event will be held outdoors at its new riverfront patio. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 8:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket! (National Automobile Museum via Facebook)
