🌱 Aha! Airline Adds Reno-Idaho Falls Nonstop Flight + Record High May

Here are the top three stories in Reno today:

  1. Aha! Airline has added new Reno-Idaho Falls nonstop flights to its schedule. Beginning on Aug. 11, the Reno-based airline, which is operated by regional carrier ExpressJet, will start offering flights twice per week between Reno-Tahoe International Airport and Idaho Falls Regional Airport. According to Idaho Falls Regional Airport's director, Rick Cloutier, the flight will also be the first from Aha! to serve Idaho Falls. (Reno Gazette Journal)
  2. A Reno man who has been accused of selling fentanyl to detectives on multiple occasions was arrested. The investigation into 23-year-old Darin Baca began in February 2022 after a tip was sent to the Regional Narcotics Unit (RNU) that he was selling Fentanyl throughout Washoe County while being in possession of firearms. Baca has been hit with an array of charges, including one count of Sales of a Controlled Substance within 1000 feet of a school/park, three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales, and two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.   3. The Reno-Sparks median home price has posted a record high for May, as it surges past the $600,000 mark. According to the Reno/Sparks Association of Realtors, the Reno-Sparks metro posted a median sales price of $615,000 for existing homes in May — breaking April's previous record of $595,000. These numbers do not include townhomes, condominiums, or new housing; they are limited to existing stick-built houses. (Reno Gazette Journal)
