This city's winters are disappearing fast (yaleclimateconnections.org) — Reno's winters are warming fast, with the city's first fall freeze now arriving an average of 41 days later than in 1970, the biggest delay among more than 200 U.S. cities studied. State climatologist Baker Perry links the trend to global climate change and Reno's rapid growth, as more concrete and asphalt surfaces trap heat compared with nearby rural areas.

Nevada SBDC bringing hands-on AI training to Reno small businesses (2news.com) — Reno small business owners can sign up now for a free, hands-on AI training day on Monday, September 21 at the University of Nevada, Reno Innovation Center on Sinclair Street. The Nevada SBDC event runs 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., requires no coding experience, and offers demos plus a guided hackathon to turn ideas into practical digital tools.
   

3. People: Megan Myers promoted to chief content officer at PBS Reno (nnbw.com) — PBS Reno has elevated longtime staffer Megan Myers to chief content officer, putting a familiar local leader in charge of the station's programming, digital strategy, and community impact. Her promotion continues a career at PBS Reno dating back to 2003 and follows multiple awards for local productions and her induction into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.
   

4. September heat and previous heat waves (2news.com) — Reno residents can expect a brief return to 90-degree highs over the next few days before cooler 70s and breezier conditions arrive this weekend.   • Hello, i know this is kind of a wierd offer, but if anyone has a dog that is good with other dogs and likes to play at the dogpark, my australian kelpie is great with others and he is a tripod, but i think he needs some friends, so if anyone can
