Annual Golf Tournament Rotary Fundraiser Set for September 30
Rotary Club of Sparks Centennial Sunrise Raising Funds for Needs of Northern Nevada

The Rotary Club of Sparks Centennial Sunrise major fundraiser will be held at the Resort at Red Hawk on September 30th. The Club invests funds raised through the golf tournament for programs serving veterans, schools, and our community. This past year has presented continuing challenges to the underserved in the Sparks/Reno area, and Club members work tirelessly throughout the community – this year’s programs have included tree planting at the Golden Eagle Regional Park, volunteer efforts and donations to the Eddy House, and projects at Shaw Middle School and Pinecrest Academy working with 8th grade youth.
The tournament, held at Red Hawk’s The Lakes Golf Course in Sparks on September 30, will feature an 8 AM shotgun start with a grab and go breakfast, raffle, drinks and fun on the course, followed by an awards barbecue and raffle prizes.

The Rotary Club of Sparks Centennial Sunrise is one of 34,000 clubs around the world. Rotary International's signature cause is the eradication of polio, and the end is in sight with just two countries in the world with endemic cases. Over the last year local and international clubs have also provided assistance for COVID-19 needs worldwide and locally for communities impacted by the 2021 fires. The Club meets for breakfast at the Red Hawk Event Center on Thursday mornings, and guests are welcome to drop in to learn more about this active club and service organization.
