  1. A man from Reno is facing several felony charges after being accused of using social media to lure a young girl and sexually assaulting her. Washoe County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a call of a reported rape this past Monday. After a preliminary investigation took place, it was determined that 21-year-old Arsh Bhardwaj made initial contact with the victim via Snapchat. (KOLO)
  2. During a Sparks City Council meeting that took place on Monday, a declaration of no confidence was presented by 25 firefighters for Fire Chief Jim Reid. According to reports, over two dozen firefighters stated that the declaration was supported by nearly 85 percent of Sparks Firefighters' membership. The declaration came about due to "forced overtime, 80-hour workweeks, dangerously long response times, and ultimately a need for new leadership." (KRNV)
  3. An early morning garage fire that took place Tuesday at a house on Cannan Street is under investigation. The Reno Fire Department stated that the fire was started by a running vehicle's exhaust pipe. According to reports, there were combustibles near the exhaust pipe. Once authorities arrived on the scene, 27 firefighters worked to take down the fire. Thankfully, the man and woman inside the home were not physically harmed. (KOLO)
