Here are the top stories today in Reno:

  1. Deputies say a 30-year-old mother is behind bars on drug-related charges after her 9-month-old ingested fentanyl through air particles this past weekend. The 9-month-old was resuscitated with Narcan early Sunday morning. The mother, Elizabeth Irvin, was booked into the Washoe County Jail that same day. This incident was one of two fentanyl cases deputies responded to within a 12-hour span. The other case involved a 24-year-old that died. (KTVN)
  2. Four Midtown Reno tattoo parlors are coming together to organize donations for kids living in Reno's downtown motels. Aces Tattoo, Lasting Dose Tattoo, Evolution Tattoo, and Wolf City Tattoo will all be collecting backpacks, socks, underwear, blankets, and toys for children ages 4-12 until Nov. 21. Donation bins are set up at the participating locations. Those who donate will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win gift certificates or shop swag.
  3. The band associated with Note-Able Music Therapy Services has been selected to perform at an awards show in New York showcasing the talents of people with developmental and physical disabilities. Now, they're asking the public for donations to make it happen. NMTS is a Reno nonprofit that offers music therapy, adaptive music programs, and a chance to perform for people of all abilities.
