Here are the top three stories today in Reno:

  1. The Biggest Little Halloween Drive is happening this Sunday at RED Reno on Experience Avenue. The festive, family-friendly event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Families are encouraged to wear costumes. The event is free and open to everyone. The event will also be collecting donations of unopened candy bags and lightly used costumes which will be given to local non-profits. (KOLO)
  2. A downtown Reno shooting has resulted in one fatality. The incident occurred near City Plaza at First Street and Lincoln Alley on Sunday around 4:20 p.m. Nicholas Nevarez, was arrested for murdering a man with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed weapon after responding officers interviewed witnesses.   3. The Food Bank of Northern Nevada will be offering free meals to children during fall break. The meals will be provided at Downtown Library, Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center, and Veteran's Elementary School. Click the link for a full schedule of meal distribution locations. (My News 4)
