- An active investigation is taking place after authorities discovered a body in a burnt vehicle on I-580. The circumstances of the event were deemed suspicious; however, no further information was disclosed. Police have reported that the southbound lanes of I-580 between Reno and Carson City were narrowed to only include one lane of active traffic. (Carson Now)
- A fire took place this past Sunday near Mineral Flats Road north of Lemmon Valley. It displaced two adults and five children. The fire started in the attic of the home. Authorities from the Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue are currently investigating the cause. For now, the American Red Cross is dedicated to helping the people who have been displaced. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. (KOLO)
